The great musician, Gerard Way, said “Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary.” Ironically the word hero has the connotation of being someone or something that portrays the qualities of being supernatural. An everyday hero is one that is characterized by the actions that he/she commits. The hero will always put themselves forward for the humanitarian good to defend against moral evil. The hero always acts involuntarily, the act of heroism will always be done under utilitarianism, and the hero will always act in heroism without the intention of gaining something for themselves. For instance, a hero can be a person who helps a group of people or a single person that is being hazed over skin color or religion.
Immortality is the ability to live forever and eternally. As a result, advantages and disadvantages will be produced. The single advantage to immortality would only benefit the top 1% of the world, the wealthy. If certain technology were invented, to essentially have a fountain of youth, the rich would prosper and the poor would most likely stay in the lower classes. The

This connotation of the word hero has changed over the past and even decades. For example, Christopher Columbus was during his time period of the most heroic and respectable person of his time. As historians now look back at Columbus’s “achievements” they disdain him for the injustice that he committed when he introduced the idea of slavery in the western world. As we know that today the ideology of slavery is frowned upon immensely. In the past decades, the concept of a hero changed when Martin Luther King was a great influence to the modern society when he led a campaign about civil rights for blacks. The denotation of the word hero has change over the past decades and centuries to evolve into a much more applicable present day
