Hernan Cortes was born in 1485-1547 in Medlin Spain. He was a military leader in 1521 Hernando Cortes dad Martin Cotes was a officer at the army. His parents wanted Hernan to be a lawyer so at age 14 years Hernan Cortes went to the university of Salamanca for a while then he failed his test as a lawyer and dropped out at age 19 he went with Diego Velazquez to a journey to Cuba and around 1518 Cortes put in charge on a journey to Mexico.
