There are two islands. On one island, a girl and the first hermit live there. The second island contains a boy and the second hermit. The only way to get from one island to the other is to employ the ferryboat captain. The girl and the boy are madly in love. The boy was going to go on a long trip, so the girl desperately wanted to see him before he shipped off. In order to do so, she must go on the ferryboat; however, she has no money, so the captain asks for a night with her in exchange. She accepts the offer of the ferryboat captain. After she reached to the boy’s island, the boy asked her how you got over here without money. She explains what she did. The boy got mad with her. The consequence is the boy, ignore her and goes away. The girl got confused and she goes up to the hill to meet the second hermit for the advice. The second hermit …show more content…

Hermit 2: Although, not knowing the girl, he was very helpful and generous. He offered to help her with nothing in return.
Hermit 1: He had genuine advice for her to make her own decision. He stated, “I cannot tell you what to do. You must weigh the alternatives and the sacrifices that are involved and come to the decision within your own heart.” I believe sometimes it is best to do this. You cannot always help someone by making the decision for them. You learn in life by your choices and their effects. He did not want to get the fault on her choices and he did not want to steer her in any other way than that of her own insight. He was right to do what he did, she just did not make the correct decision.
The girl: Although, she might be ignorant towards the situation, she acted based on love her only goal was to get to him because he was leaving for a long trip. Her sole focus was to see the man she loves. Sure, her choices were not graceful, but she tried to accomplish her one goal; to see him before he
