Determining the use of PVC or TPU is a great challenge for Herman Miller and other similar companies in a business environment where a growing environmental concern evident in aiming at avoiding disastrous long-term impacts on human life or the planet.
PVC is an inexpensive material with ideal product character of durability and scratch resistant and soft, however, it believed that it has hazards particles in it and using this material for its chair is a clear deviation from the company stand of environmentally sustainable business practices even if the choice generate an economic profit.
