Toys have evolved greatly with the advancement of technology over time. Toys have found ways to educate and entertain children for many years, becoming a part of every kid’s childhood, you may even remember some of your favorite toys as a child. Back in the roaring twenties, the now well-known Fisher Price company was beginning to make history. At the same time, the world was facing The Great Depression, and later would face World War One. But for now, Herman Fisher was brainstorming ideas to kickstart his toy company that would become loved across America. Herman Fisher did not start out as a toy designer or inventor. Together with her and two other people, he started a company, the Fisher Price company that we know now. It was very rough for them to get the company going, as the economy during The Great Depression damaged a lot of company’s success, sales, and growth. Through stock shares, the small company raised funds to keep service going. The Fisher Price company, for a very long time, made little money. Over time, they gained their character of creating fun, educational toys. The company began to flourish. Most of this is to thank Snoopy Sniffer for, a toy dog that the company released in 1938. Fisher Price toys used top quality materials to make toys that entertained children during the times of The Great Depression and the rise of World War Two, as well as educating them, making incredibly creative and important toys that influenced children and helped their growth. Fisher Price miraculously flourished during times of great economic travesty and worldwide tension and warfare, where many people’s outlook on things were bleak and desperate.
