Julie had just got done working a 12-hour shift. She was working to achieve a promotion, but didn’t realize how long the hours would end up being. She decided that the hot water pouring from her shower would help her become more relaxed. While getting out of the shower, Julie heard what sounded like the front door closing. She immediately put her polka dotted pajamas on and headed for the front of her house to distinguish where the sound originated from. She didn’t even get to the kitchen and had already realized something was wrong. She turned to get her phone but, before she could, a man in an all-black outfit stood in her way. Not even 10 minutes after settling into her new office her secretary hands her a case. Before looking over the case, Lucy is called into Mr. Herman’s office to discuss the importance and high priority of the case. She can hear the hesitance in his voice and see the little sweat droplets forming on his brow. She begins to realize that something is wrong. Mr. Herman asks her to take a seat. He starts rambling on about how he loves his job and how this new case depends on whether he gets to keep it. After Mr. Herman calmed down he told Lucy that she needed to make sure Mr. Newman goes free. Lucy finally realized why he was so nervous, and said that she couldn’t do that for someone that clearly did it. She went on about how she will give him a fair trial like everyone else, but she will not unlawfully mess with evidence to ensure his freedom. Mr. Herman shouting now said that she would do what he told her or she would be out of a job. Lucy, disgusted at the thought of this, had no choice but to say that she would do …show more content…
Meanwhile Lucy went into the court house to get this trial over with. Rob was in a hurry to get all of this in before his wife got done in court. Lucy was sweating and she could tell that she forgot to put deodorant on this morning. She decided she was going do the right thing and try the defendant as if he were anyone else. Rob finally go to work and knew his boss was in a meeting, but didn’t care he busted through the door telling him that he needed to talk to him right away. Lucy could hear her heart racing, wondering where her husband is. She knew that without her husband and his captain they wouldn’t win the case. Just then her husband runs into the court room breathing heavily. He gives her the video tape from the apartment that the girl was murdered in. Lucy shows the video to the court room explaining that Lucy knew she had a stalker and if she were going die, the camera would catch her
