Chickenpox mode of transmission is from person to person due to direct contact with the reservoir. Example of indirect contact mode of transmission is the Escherichia coli (E. coli) outbreak. This outbreak was transmitted by contaminated objects. The chain of infections plays a huge role in the transmission of disease. The etiologic agents are the micro-organism that is able to cause the disease. The reservoir is the host which can be the environment, animals, and humans.
