I am choosing to write about Heracles, otherwise known as Hercules, because he is a fascinating and in my opinion, the greatest Greek hero with an interesting background to him. Heracles is so honorable that he is one of the individuals who sail with Jason as an Argonaut. His original story is concerning the origin of labours, where Heracles undergoes a series of tasks in order to gain immortality, amongst being forgiven for his what he committed during his temporary madness. In the “simplest version”, it is said that Heracles goes mad as Hera brought it on to him and murders his wife Megara, along with his three children that he had with her. He then goes on a purification journey and in all of the versions; only some slightly altered positions
