Herbert hoover was an American engineer, businessman, and politician who served as the 31st President of the United States from 1929 to 1933 during the Great Depression. He received eighty-seven honorary degrees; a world record during his lifetime. Hoover was nominated for the nobel peace prize five times. Herbert was raised by relatives in both Iowa and Organ. Born west of the mississippi, Hoover was the first U.S. president to come from that far west. Hoover became an orphan at the age of 9. He was a member of Stanford university inaugural class. He was a self-made multimillionaire. Hoover helped save millions from starvation after two world wars. There is a sport that bear’s name Hoover. He made a fortune in mining. Herbert was president
