Heracles: The Uncontrollation Of Hercules

The constellation I have chosen for this assignment is Hercules. Hercules has always been one of my favorite characters in mythologic stories, therefore I chose the constellation named after this hero. Hercules, the constellation, has a declination of +30 and consists of 15 stars and planets. It is great to see that the constellation seems to step on the head of draco (the dragon of snake) as he defeated snakes according to the myth.

Hercules is the roman name of Heracles, a greek hero. Heracles is the son of Zeus and a mortal woman called Alcmene. He was almost killed by snakes in his crib, which were sent by Hera, yet this special boy survived by strangling both them with his bare hands. Once he became an adult he lived to complete 12 labours. He was the right person for the job in all of the cases, since he was semidivine. Heracles was known for his strengtht, and obviously over time he became well known for his adventures. One of his adventures was the slaying of the hydra, a serpent-like water monster with nine heads. Hera was sad hydra was killed and therefore placed the constellation Hydra in the sky.
