It was difficult for me to choose my favorite out of Heracles’s Twelve Labors. I would have to say that is it a toss-up between labor number two, The Lernaean Hydra, and labor number twelve, Cerberus. I always have had a fascination with dragons as a child. I used to collect the pewter two-inch statues and I had one that looked similar to the Hydra with its many heads (566) and dragon like appearance. Can you image living among a beast like this and being able to battle it to death. I think, in that alone, is impressive. In the final and twelfth labor, the capturing of Cerberus was to be the hardest of the Labors. (573) If you think about it, how hard is it to catch a dog, right.
