Hera is the goddess of the gods/goddess and the goddess of marriage. Lover of Peacocks and cows, Daughter, sister, mother, and wife. (Hamilton 22-23) Hera is best suited to be a marriage counselor because she is willing to listen to others, she is comforting in difficult situations, and is comfortable to work hard to achieve something. An important reason that Hera can become a marriage counselor is that she is willing to listen to others. Hera was a known as one of the “fairest” goddess in Mount Olympus. “She was the protector of women, for punishing offending husbands” (Greek Goddess of 7). Hera is the goddess of Childbirth along with her daughter, Eileithyia. Hera and her daughter created the occupation, obstetrician. An obstetrician delivers babies and in order to become an obstetrician you have to be comforting because giving birth is very difficult so you must be kind and known when to speak and when to keep quiet. Hera can tie her comforting skills from childbirth into an occupation like a marriage counselor, especially if they have children. Channeling into different jobs is not difficult, it happens everyday to different people . For example, if you work two jobs, a teacher and an ice cream store worker, you have to be cheery and joyful in both jobs. The last reason that Hera could be a marriage counselor is that she is a hard- worker. The final reason why Hera should be a marriage counselor is that she is a hard- worker. Hera is okay with putting in a little extra work to get what she wants. Hera was the goddess of the gods/ goddess’ and that outs a lot of responsibilities and hard work on Hera. She handled it very well and she was a successful ruler. The goddess of the gods is a very hard job to handle and Hera did it superbly, so she can surely handle being a marriage
