In the beginning, there were only gods. No humans, no earth, no nothing. Just gods. As you can imagine they got bored. Bored of each other, bored of having nothing to do. They started to take it out on each other, and they started fighting.
As immortals, they had no fear of the consequence of death. Therefore, their battles had no limits and got worse and worse with each fight. Eventually, Zeus had had enough of watching his companions fighting and decided they all needed some form of entertainment. Something that they could all help with and would keep them all busy. After many days of thought, he settled on the idea of combining all their powers to create something new for their world. The gods worked on the project day and night until they came up with what you know as earth. Zeus noticed he had not seen Hephaestus in quite some time. He went to check on Hephaestus, who had

Athena understood what must have gone wrong the second she came in and saw what Hephaestus had newly named a “human being”. She explained to Hephaestus and Hera that she thought Zeus must have been worried about the resemblance between the “human” and the gods. Athena determined that the “human” was a wonderful addition to “earth”. She decided to ignore Zeus and put the human on earth herself. Hera and Hephaestus agreed, so the three of them brought the human up and placed it on earth. They knew that the humans would prosper and knew that they just had to prove it to Zeus.
Zeus checked in on earth a little later and saw that humans had taken up residence there. At first, he was furious, but upon further inspection, he noticed that they were doing surprisingly well, much better than he expected. He felt rather betrayed by his fellow gods, going behind his back. Upon further consideration though, he realised that they must have known that the humans would not be as dreadful as he expected, and ended up helping earth flourish in the
