Hepatitis E may seem like a normal virus, and it is, but when you hear about how people have gotten the virus it is rather foul.... Let's just say it involves feces. Hepatitis E is a liver disease that has been infecting India since 2014. The main factor of contracting this disease is the faecal-oral route, this means that faecal is entering your mouth (in any way, shape, or form). This is not the only factor since the way they cook their meat (usually unintentionally) and a less vexing method by incautious blood transfusions also distribute to receiving this disease. There are multiple factors to getting this virus and this paper talks about three key factors.

Because a lot of times when doctors are transferring the blood to the next person, it needs a bunch of tests beforehand otherwise it could be fatal. One of the less worrisome factors of contracting this disease is through blood transfusions, this is less common because through multiple tests they usually catch the virus. But sometimes the tests don't find any viruses and they slip by, causing the person receiving the blood to catch the virus. You may be thinking "Well why would you donate blood if you have a disease anyways?" But it can take up to a month for you to even start showing symptoms, and in the meantime your blood could be infecting people. Even though there is a slim chance, there is still a possibility of receiving any form of disease through blood transfusions and we shouldn't risk harming those people that do get …show more content…
Hepatitis E is not usually a life threatening disease, but in poorer countries like India this could mean the end of their life. Unlike other diseases, it can go away just with time but with the lifestyles of India this may not be the case. This is why it is so important that it gets handled appropriately. If only places like India could have proper sanitary resources and clean water that could solve a lot of their problems. But for now, just don't you forget to always wash your hands nice and clean every
