(Asian American Health Concerns) According to MedlinePlus, supported by the National Institute of Health, Hepatitis B is caused by a virus that is contracted by a person’s blood, semen, or other body fluids. Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. When the liver is inflamed, it makes it difficult to do its job, which is to detoxify the blood. The liver’s job is to break down naturally produce toxic chemicals, prescription and OTC medications, street drugs, alcohol, and caffeinated products.
