Henry V Many years before the sopping wet battlegrounds, clanking weapons, and rusty armor had been used, Henry V’s experiences helped him in many ways. These experiences might have helped him in major ways, but they also might not have contributed quite as much. In the biographical article “Henry V and the Battle of Agincourt” the author shows us Henry’s life from when he was a child until the time he became king and led an army. Henry V’s experience leading up to the time he became king helped him lead an army into France. Henry V’s early childhood really helped him experience and do things that might be helpful when leading an army, or a country. Henry got to help lead an army so he could see what it was like, but he got some people that helped him out a little bit. Although, with battle comes injury. One thing that happened to Henry was that he got shot in the face with an arrow. He fought through the pain and kept fighting. The author shows us how brave he was during the battle, “Henry was struck in the face by an arrow during this battle, but he continued to fight.” (“Henry V'' 2). Henry showed he could take the pain by fighting through it. He knew that if they won this battle, they then had control of another piece of land and it would pay off more in the future. All in all, long before the blood covered and sopping wet battlefield, covered in broken tools and body parts, everything that Henry V did in his childhood helped him in many ways. It might have been something that seemed bad or annoying at the time, but everything he had done in his past had turned out pretty good for him.
