Then he was able to meet Thomas Edison, once he showed Edison his car and he approved of it, he worked harder than ever. He finally made his first car that he wanted to sell, but the prices were too high and he wasn't happy with it, so he shut Detroit Atoumobile Company down. After many hours of hard work he developed the Model T. Then there was trouble when people weren't buying and his partners wanted their pay. Eventually things worked out, and people started buying the Model T, they bought it because it was cheap and easy to repair, once all of this happened Ford became one if the richest men ever. All of his workers also loved him, because they got paid $5 dollars a day, $120 a day, and they had 5 day workweeks. Ford was also credited with making the assembly line, a faster way of making things, all of the workers specialized in their own item, then they would make their own parts and then it would go down a conveyor, to the next person who would add to it to make a car. Eventually the Model T stopped selling, and he was forced to make a newer, Better model, the Model A, It got good sales just like the Model T had. Later in Ford's life, he gave the company to his son and made a newspaper that over 700,000 people would read every time he made a new one, so not only was he an engineer, he was a newspaper writer
