Huxley add this in his novel because the World Controllers make the caste using an assembly line, thus, people allude to Ford as God because he is the creator of the assembly line. In addition, Ford is not only a subject part of their conversation through the name of God, but , he is also seen throughout many aspects of the society, for example the T crosses on many buildings. "All crosses had their tops cut and became T's. There was also a thing called God" (45). This is to remind the reader of Ford's Model T automobile, the first to be produced via the assembly line.
