Even though Henry Ford College does not have a huge campus as large Universities, the enrollment in the ELI program is higher than ever before this fall for three reasons, the reputation, cost, and location of the college. First of all, HFC is well-known college because of its great reputation. HFC has wonderful and amazing teachers. It also has unique ways of learning for ESL students. For instance, I am currently an English Second Language learner at HFC ELI program. I am taking English 106 Writing and Reading which is the last level of the ELI program with two awesome teachers. Next, HFC ELI program is one of the best and the cheapest program in Michigan. The tuition for the programs is a lot cheaper than other universities. Not just in Michigan but even in the United States. To illustrate, the ELI course costs $2,000 for international students per semester for both writing and reading classes in what level they registered in. For citizenship students, it costs less money. The ELI course charge them $100 per credit. The cost of the tuition in the HFC ELI program is one of the most attractive reasons for students to come and learn English in order to continue their higher education for low amount of money comparing to other ESL programs. Finally, HFC has a great site that attract students from various towns here in Dearborn. HFC is located on Evergreen road which is near to many places here in Dearborn, such as Dearborn Heights, Inkster, Melvindale, and Detroit. This connected site causes many ESL students to enroll in HFC from vary places in Michigan.
