Reason Case was accepted for investigation:
On 10/28/17, Hennepin County Child Protection accepted a report of alleged physical abuse, domestic violence of Mia Yelle by mother’s partner, Andy Rognes. Per reporter on 10/24/17 Any Rogness was in the garage drinking wine and became angry because he was out of cigarettes. Per reporter mother was about to open the door and boyfriend slammed through it and hit mother’s head against the wall. Per reporter it is unclear if the door hit mother, which then caused mother to hit her head, or if boyfriend grabbed mother’s head and hit it against the wall. Andy dominate each time. Both reported that they are working on their relationship but Scott is causing them conflict in their relationship. Both stated that they are willing to work on their relationship by seeing couple therapy. Also, both agreed that Mia will be seeing individual therapy and that Rebecca and Scott are in agreement to both attend a family therapy with Mia. CPI advised to both not argue near Mia and to take breaks when feeling heated or upset on another. Also, this writer advised to connect with therapy for Mia.
Mr. Andy stated that he does have a gun in his bedroom. There is lock on the trigger and he reported that he “legally owns it” He stated that Mia has no access to the gun. He stated that there is two nerf gun in the garage which is blue and orange colors. He denied having bullets near the gun.
Both denied any drug use however Andy reported that he drinks in the house especially when his children are not visiting him. He stated that part of his case plan is not to drink around of his children. He stated that he has open CP with different county. Both denied history of child abuse or mental health. Schott talked about the allegation and he stated that he made the report because his daughter was staying with him on the weekend and she reported to him that Andy and Rebecca constantly are arguing regarding the cat. He stated that the cat has been part of the family for so long but Andy does not like the cat. He also stated that Andy has pointed gun to the cat. However, he stated that he realized after reporting allegation to CP that Mia lied about the gun. He stated that she got confused between real gun and nerf gun. He stated the nerf gun is blue and orange color. He stated that he is concerned his daughter witnessing their fight and Andy’s alcohol use. He reported that Andy was ordered not to drink inside the house. Scott stated that he believes that Andy drinks and smokes marijuana. He stated that he did not witness Andy and Rebecca’s arguments.
Also, he stated that his daughter mentioned no physical discipline at home with Andy and Rebecca. Mr. Scott denied any alcohol and drug use. He stated that he went CD treatments in past and maintained sober ever
