To begin with, Hemp can absorb 4x more CO2 than trees. Although air pollution can be reduced by car pulling, planting more trees and reducing deforestation; using hemp to reduce air pollution can be more beneficial. The benefits of the Hemp plant are, more rapid CO2 absorption, improves soil structure, no other chemical inputs. Hemp can be grown in already existing agricultural land, be a part of a farm’s crop rotation, can grow in a diversity of soil conditions and climates. All other crops can’t grow this easy nor help as greatly, very low environmental impact. For instance, Hemp uses low fertilizer, reduced agrochemical residues, replaces unsustainable raw materials, reduce use of trees, replace all tree made products and oilbased products/materials. …show more content…
Hemp is primarily made up of
Cellulose, Hemicellulose and Lignin and it’s chemical structure is carbon content which is the absorbed CO2 (The Science behind Carbon Dioxide Reduction with Hemp 2).
The outcomes of using Hemp are increased CO2 absorption, decreased deforestation, replacement of raw / oil based unsustainable construction materials, replacement of cotton (overall decrease or air pollution/ negative environmental impacts). This solution is the best because it can replace so many products produced overall and for the better.
Hemp can be grown in already existing agricultural land, be a part of a farm’s crop rotation, can grow in a diversity of soil conditions and climates. Some solutions that have been done or tried previously are car pulling, deforestation reduction, planting more trees. However, these solutions didn’t work because even though there is less cars, the cars used are still emitting air pollution into the atmosphere, the deforestation reduction still doesn’t leave enough trees, and the amount of trees being planted is not enough to clear the atmosphere of CO2 properly.

First of all, the plants look different; marijuana plants are kept cropped very low to the ground and Hemp comes from long fibrous stalks that are tall, broad, and less leafy. The problems with the opposition’s argument is also that the DEA's strategy for detecting illegal pot growing operations is by helicopter, therefore, obviously they won’t be able to tell the difference. Opponents also claim that Hemp is just like the marijuana plant if consumed or smoked. However, the opponents are once again wrong. The
THC levels of Industrial hemp is incredibly low therefore, smoking or consuming hemp produces no "high" whatsoever. In conclusion, hemp should be used to reduce air pollution. Although air pollution can be reduced by car pulling, planting more trees and reducing deforestation; using hemp to reduce air pollution can be more beneficial. Summarize Arguments: Hemp can reduce agrochemical residues, replaces unsustainable raw materials, reduce use of trees, increase the population of trees, and replace all tree made products and oilbased products/materials, it can also be distinguished from marijuana plants and produces

Much of today’s society thinks that hemp is bad because it has qualities similar to marijuana. When in fact, it is a very distant cousin of ganja and is not really like wacky-tabacky at all. Industrial hemp can be used in clothing, food/beverages, paper, building materials, plastics, fuel and chemical clean-up. It can help the economy by opening thousands of jobs and bringing in local money and we would not have to import it from other countries anymore. “A change in federal policy to once again allow hemp farming would mean instant job creation, among many other economic and environmental benefits,” says Tom Murphy, the National Outreach Coordinator or Vote Hemp.…

Say that it was legal, and all you had to do was get a prescription from the doctor, get a permit for using it, and get your prescription filled at the pharmacy. There are a lot of people in jail and even prison for smoking or selling marijuana, so if it was legal, it would help the overcrowding…

Trees naturally sequester atmospheric carbon dioxide through photosynthesis and thus decrease global warming and its repercussions. Carbon dioxide is an essential component of the Calvin Cycle for the production of glucose, which is the primary energy source for plants as well as many herbivorous and carnivorous consumers. With the rapid increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels from anthropogenic activity since the Industrial Revolution, scientist suspect that carbon dioxide fertilization will amplify photosynthesis and, therefore, sequester more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to the terrestrial carbon sink in the form of trees (Bonan 2008).2 Forests are a major terrestrial carbon sink and contain approximately 45% of terrestrial…
