The story of the Hemorrhaging Woman (Matthew 9:19-22, Mark 5:24-34, and Luke 8:43-49) is a miracle story found in all three of the Synoptic Gospels that form the beginning of the New Testament, used by all authors to highlight Jesus’ power and status as the Messiah. In this story, a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years touched the clothes of Jesus in order to heal herself. When she was discovered, Jesus commended her for her faith and healed her of all disease. While the story appears in all three Gospels, the story is not identical – in length or word choice.
