Hemophilia is a bleeding disorder that slows down the blood clotting process because of insufficient blood-clotting proteins. People who have hemophilia may bleed longer after an injury or they can experience spontaneous bleeding into the joints and muscle depending on the severity. There ae three types of hemophilia, Hemophilia A, B, and C. Hemophilia A and B are the most common types. In the past hemophilia affected life expectancy but currently with improved treatment, individuals with hemophilia will have a normal life span.

It can reduce the time spent in hospitals after surgery and it can reduce damage to joints.
