The purpose of this report is to identify the best solutions to help students deal with stress of school and their future to help them succeed in academics and in their careers. We hope to help them not only deal with the everyday stress but hopefully eliminate some of it so that they can be happier as they go through college experiencing some of the greatest times of their lives.

In this report we will give suggestions on how to prevent stress and some of the consequences of having too much stress in one’s life. It will show students what different health issues come along with stress and why stress needs to be taken care of before it turns into other bad health issues or life choices. One cause of internal stress is when a student sets expectations that are too high making him to be in so much pressure to attain the unrealistic goals. One needs to realize that everyone has their own limits, and a student needs to measure his or her current ability before setting a goal. An unrealistic goal will cause a person to have feelings of anxiety, anger and fear and will lead to an increase in stress level. Internal stress is self-induced, meaning that it comes from a person’s desires, expectations, characters, and habits. Even a perfectionist can also be in a lot of stress when things are not going according to plan. For example, a student who has always been on time to class might feel so much pressure when the traffic is heavy causing him to be late by 5 minutes to class. This may lead to an increase of stress level in that particular student because of the standard or expectation that he has set upon himself. The other common internal causes of stress are sleep deprivation, trying to do too much things in a short amount of time, poor eating habits, and excessive usage of stimulants like …show more content…
These are things that make you stressed whether it’s because someone has high expectations for you or you have to do well in order to get the job or that personal best on something that means a lot to you. Stress is an everyday thing for people. It is nothing new and it comes with everyday activities. Whether you are at the gym lifting heavy weights and struggling to get that personal record that you’ve been putting long hours in the gym to get or you are at work trying to write up that report that your boss has been breathing down your neck for, for the past two weeks.
