Have you ever seen a hurricane? Many people have experienced a hurricane and it is a traumatic experience. When you see homes under water and stray animals that were left behind to die and suffer. Don’t you want to help? There are many organizations that have helped in hurricane relief. Three major hurricanes have hit multiple locations across the Gulf of Mexico and Florida in the past months. Organizations and people are donating supplies to citizens that have been affected by hurricanes. They continue to help months after the hurricanes hit in many different ways. Some people want to help but don't know how.
Hurricane relief is one of the big things that organizations do to help people affected by the hurricane. Organizations like the Red Cross, Global Giving, Direct Relief and many more organizations are gathering to help the people in need. There are many different ways that organizations help. One of the ways that organizations help is setting up online donations for people to give money to the organizations to distribute to citizens affected (Red Cross). The first one to hit was hurricane, Harvey. Hurricane Harvey was one of the worst hurricanes that hit the Southern part of Texas. At the beginning of a tropical storm it dropped 40 inches of rain and in some parts of Texas, it dropped 61 inches causing major flash flooding which caused most of the damage. Hurricane Irma as a category 5 hurricane which is the largest hurricane size. Irma was the strongest hurricane outside the Gulf of Mexico and span over 650 miles wide. Hurricane Jose was a category 3 hurricane that was on the East Coast of the United States. It had minimal damage to the coastline and only one
