Personal Narrative: What's On Your Mind

Improved Essays
‘’What’s on your mind?’’, Facebook asked.
Are you thinking about what you should do, about your school works, what you will wear, what you’re going to eat, or perhaps you’re thinking about what you’ll post on your facebook . But, have you ever wondered how much a cloud weighs? Clouds float so freely, that‘s why I assumed they’re weightless, but it turns out they’re not.
Helmenstine (2016) said that the average cumulus clouds weigh 1.1 million pounds. This means they weigh similar to a group of elephants. So, how does that much load still float? Of course, there are scientific answers to that. Nevertheless, after knowing this fact, whenever I feel so burdened I just look up at the clouds, thinking ‘Hey I can still stand against the gravity

It expresses how blessed she felt about the change she is experiencing. Mary’s hymn expresses the goodness of God. Likewise, she extends her praise to how God cured those who are in need, how loyal He is to those who are faithful to Him also, about the promise He made. “ His mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts. He has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly;” Individuals who stand against Him will face His power that will bring them down. These verses assure that God will condemn those who disrupts the peace in our community, those who abuse their power in order for them to satisfy their faults, those who kill without mercy. The verses also promise that God will lift even those who suffer but have faith on Him, just like how a cloud floats despite its …show more content…
O come let us adore Him- God for giving us His son, Jesus Christ to whom we are saved. May we wake up knowing He’s still there, seeing the clouds float on the air, feeling His care. May we be instruments that send the gifts of God to those who seek our help. Though we may have many hitches that create a heavier life, we will make it by uniting our fortitude for each other, because He will carry us. Let us help one another to feel the real essence of Christmas. Like Mary who conceived Jesus, may we be grateful for the things that God has blessed us with . May we use Mary’s hymn to sing the glory of God. Just like the clouds, let us help each other float against the weight of our fears and we will look up to give Him praise.

Prayer:
O blessed Mother, help us keep praising God through all our good and bad days. May we leave everything at His hands and embrace this day confidently knowing that, He will lift us, help us and take good care of us. Grant that we may trade our piles of worries into worship and wait for him to wash our anxiety. Help us be good news to each other. May we pour out our praises to Him whose breath is our source of strength.

At my most vulnerable, I was having to fill the role of teacher and leader, teaching people how to walk with others through a difficult situation. I learned how important it is to be authentic. I had to let them be part of the grieving and healing process, showing weakness, strength, and reliance on God. My prayer is that God used this journey as an example for others, that they would see our source of strength and hope, that life could again be filled with joy, and most importantly that they would see Jesus through…

Being an eighth grade girl, we have a group, Illumin8, which is the thing I cherish the most because we have the chance to enhance our faith with God. Having the chance to go to mass each week is one thing I am remarkably grateful for because each week I get to grow in my faith. I am very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to attend St. Cecilia school and grow in my faith.…
