Furthermore, Jesse knew that Helen had some mental problems and he loved her, but he still was curious on whether he made the right choice to be with Helen. He then got a phone call about an old high school friend that made him question his love for Helen. “I sometimes wonder if Jesse hadn’t never got news about high school, if he would of realized her still loved me” (194).
