Heinous crimes are committed in the United States everyday. Just about one-half of them are committed by adolescents ages 11 through 18. After they committed said crime, people feel they should be tried as adults rather than juveniles because some people view “if they can do the crime, then they can do the time”. Juveniles should be rehabilitated rather than imprisoned, a second chance at life in society. Trying these children as adults is unjustifiable, there other ways that our officials can turn to, to help someone's life for the better. The judicial system needs to understand that children/adolescents are the future.
