A heel stretch is a cheerleading move that is used during a sporting event or in a cheerleading competition to add a little pizazz. The heel stretch is done by holding one foot (usually the left foot), using the same side of the hand, the stretch is usually pulled above the bases (position in cheer) heads. To perfectly execute this move it takes a lot of stretching and hard work. “Stretching can help improve flexibility, and, consequently, a range of motion in your joints. Better flexibility may improve your performance in physical activities or decrease your risk of injuries by helping your joints move through their full range of motion and enabling your muscles to work most effectively.
