Hectic Senior Year

Starting early on choosing a college and what you're wanting to do is essential to not have a crazed senior year. My viewpoint is that planning is the best option to have a prepared next two years. Junior year, second semester, you should start looking at other colleges and deciding what is right for you. When senior year of fall comes around you will not feel so hectic and stressed for having to look at colleges, apply to college, and look at scholarships.Touring schools, applying, and scholarships should all have a schedule plan to not have a hectic senior year that will already be stressful enough.

Along with a great deal of stress, you also wouldn't be completely sure what you were doing and may always feel hectic and never sure whether you'd get into the college you want or not. If you were to follow the plan and already toured schools and had an idea on what kind of college you were thinking you would feel a lot better. You'd already be able to apply for scholarships instead of still college. In addition to applying for scholarships, many of the financial aid and school specific scholarships have early deadlines such as February. If you still hadn't applied for a college by then you could have missed out on a lot of opportunities for scholarships and may end up in more debt than what you wanted. Imagine it being senior year in the fall and you still have no idea what you want to do and where. All of your friends may already be talking about where they're accepted into and you still haven't even applied. They had a plan and followed it and you thought you'd just do "whatever" now you're behind on applications, scholarships and deadlines. You don't want to be that person, you want to be the person who had a plan and followed it through.

Overall, having a plan will make your senior year much more stress free with more opportunities to apply for scholarships early

Future. That’s probably one of the scariest words I know. The future is unpredictable, it’s often wrapped in wrapping paper, ready to be opened and it can both be exciting and disappointing. As soon as I was in middle school, I wanted to be one thing, a singer, I had decided that I liked singing enough for it to be a career, although my vocal range disagreed.…

Every year, thousands of students throughout the world spent their last year of high school applying for college to decide what will be the right choice in furthering their education. While a wide variety of students decide to proceed straight into college others would prefer to have a gap year. A gap year is when students take a year off away from the school. Students, who graduate from high school, should take a year off before starting a new chapter in life, therefore the gap year can allow the student to take a break from school and add excessive time to decide what career to excel in. The student should not take a gap year unless the student is sure of what career to pursue in.…

I was born in Germany with a German mother and an American father. The benefit of being born into a German family and living in Europe for the first ten years of my life was the greatest privilege I experienced throughout my sixteen years of living. However, my father was in the military at the time causing for a slight pressure to always be prevalent for the duration of my younger years. This mainly revolved around the fact that my sister was able to grow up in Germany and I wanted that same opportunity. Soon after these aspirations were formed, they became mere dreams that never would be fulfilled because my dad was given orders to either move to Mississippi or Oklahoma, which both deemed to be the middle-of-nowhere.…
