Hebrew Word For Pentecost

The word Pentecost is the day in which the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles. It was under the preaching of Peter many were converted (Acts 2).
The Greek word for Pentecost is pentékosté (4005 Strong’s Concordance) which means ‘fiftieth’. The Feast of Weeks is mentioned in the Old Testament and is associated with the Day of Pentecost (Deuteronomy 16:9-10). The Hebrew word for Pentecost is Shavuot and refers to ‘weeks’. Pentecost is associated with the three Jewish Feasts called ‘…The feast of unleavened bread, the feast of weeks, the feast of tabernacles’ (Deuteronomy 16:16).
The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is paramount because:
1. Jesus Christ was crucified at Passover
2. He ascended 40 days after the resurrection
