Hebrew Boys Furnace Analysis

My thought is the early Christians who painted this image believe the story of the three Hebrew boys throne in the fiery furnace to be true. Somehow these Christians associated their dead. There is a key piece about the story that some forget. The King ordered the flame of the furnace so hot that the men who through the three boys on the fire would parish as they tossed them in.
