Throughout the bible, heaven is known as the kingdom of Christ (Ephesians 5:5, King James Version), paradise (Luke 23:43, King James Version), the holy city of Jerusalem (Revelation 21:1, King James Version) and there are many more names that heaven is known as. Although there are different names for heaven, it does not change the overall belief of heaven, but there is a different visual for Christians. For example, the author “A Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs” describes how paradise is a garden located between earth and heaven and “is the place of heavenly bliss that has been appointed to receive the spirits of the saints” (Bercot, 1998, p. 498).
