Introduction
Heatway a firm that specializes in “Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)” needed to reform their order management process, this would help them increase market share and revenue. Thus led to this new process of “PTP – Personal to Payment” , implementing a new process will cause a major change to the firm which will lead to many challenges that will hinder the application of the new process; changes in the organizational structure; cost efficiency will rise and the resistance to change. The aim of the PTP is improve the cost, time and quality of the process; this will also mean that a new structure is required followed by an IT support and new ideology in business.

He molded a team of talented and experienced Heatway managers as well as external consultants to proceed PTP process.
The team assessing the current state of the order management, and generates a new vision of the new process; according to this the management divided the work into two teams. One team called current state-team was responsible for analyzing the current state of the process as well as identifying the time and the cost of doing the business in the current approach. While the other team called current state-team and was led by managers and consultant, they were responsible for creating the vision of the future state. In my perspective, this division of the work in such way; help Heatway to view the performance of the firm and layout new strategy and vision for the new design of business

They recognized that the new process would be very expensive, since the total cost was be $150 million which would make PTP as largest project done at the firm. Heatway as well recognized that implementing a new process will cause a major change to the firm which will lead to many challenges that will hinder the application of the new process; changes in the organizational structure; cost efficiency will rise and the resistance to change. But they were believed that this big project will build the future of Heatway.
Heatway designed its new process by creating a team what will be working independently to provide the customer with full service on site; the team will be split up into two teams which consist of “Future-State and Support-Personnel”. They will be handling everything the customer needs from start to end, Heatway refer to these teams as franchise as they are able to handle “the entire PTP process and could act as a separate company”.
