Essentially the west needed a scapegoat for all the lives that were taken and resulted to mindlessly attack the people who were of middle eastern descent. In my own opinion, I agree with her opinion because I believe if the politicians of the time took some time to think and not make knee jerk reactions, the chaos that followed the tragedy would not have occurred. Not only would the Americans not be out 4-6 trillion dollars but the lives of all the civilians and foreigners would still be alive today. I believe the politicians of the time could of reacted in a manner that doesn't involve taking their anger on anyone that wasn't themselves. The horrors of the 9/11 attack will never be forgotten, the lives that were taken that day will always be remembered. No matter how much time has passed since September 11, 2001 people will still be suffering. The lives that were lost that day will weigh on anyone who thinks about that day. Also because of the avoidable mistakes of the government during the decade following the catastrophe not only will people suffer in the form of economic damage but in the form of more lives being taken by America overseas in the middle also the lives of foreign civilians also being
