Heat Stroke Research Paper

You are walking through Coffin Bay National Park (near Black Springs) with a group of four friends when you come across a woman collapsed in the hot sun. She is unconscious and breathing, her skin is red hot and dry to the touch.
From the symptoms that this lady is showing such as red, hot skin that is dry to touch and being unconscious but breathing; it is can be concluded that she most likely has heat stroke.
I would respond to this scenario with these steps.
First, I would check for danger. This is anything that could hurt myself, the victim or my friends. I would notice that the person is still in the hot sun and that it would be preferable to put them in the shade. Due to me having four friends with me it would be possible to move the patient but I probably still would not. Next, I would check for a response from the person I would do this by talking to them, asking if they need help, introducing myself, asking them to squeeze both of my hands and asking if they can blink. The lady is unresponsive so I would then ask one of my four friends to call an ambulance. Black Springs is on the inside edge of Coffin Bay National Park (the side which is directly across from the land) so it is highly likely that there would still be phone signal there. If not I would tell my friend to go climb the nearest hill or find a high place nearby to get phone signal. Next, I would check that there was nothing obstructing the victim’s airway. While doing this I would notice that the victim was breathing. Since the victim is breathing, CPR would not be required. I would roll the victim into the recovery position and continue to monitor the victim’s breathing. Once
