In our daily life, we often used candle. Candle can be useful in setting up a romantic dinner with someone who you love, can provide light for us when electricity or a light bulb did not work, but most important of all, using it as a gas stove to boil water. While we burning the candle or using it to boil water, we can see a little smoke or the water became hotter. So, how is the smoke happened, and also why the water can became hotter than room temperature? In this lab report, I will talk about the heat of combustion of paraffin, C25H52.
