Vincent is a heartless man. He sits after dark, frustrated in need of one. He needs a renewed heart by the end of tonight, October 31st, or else his spirit and life will be gone forever. Things aren't easy for this vampire. He's been looking for a target all day, and no one wants to approach him or help him. He won't move, wake up, or keep a heartbeat. He drinks his last sip of coffee to think. “Let’s see… Who would be stupid enough to approach me?” CA-CHING, Vincent suddenly hears. A few pennies have fallen into his cup. He looks up to see a kid with a backpack. “HEY KID! I ain’t homeless!” “Oh, I’m sorry, sir. I was just lost on my way home from school. Not only did this pure innocent action begin to compel Vincent, but that the fact that the boy did not leave. Looking at the kid in the eye, and his willingness to stay, he realized that this kid is fearless. He's the total opposite of him; young, alive, and heartful! “I could use this kid” He thinks to himself. “Hey, kid. This still isn’t enough! “I am a lumberjack!” Vincent pitied the boy. “Let’s go back to your school, boy.” Vincent and Charles strolled back to Mountain Lake Elementary School. They enter inside the gym to see all the lights, children, and the blaring music being played by the DJ. At that very moment, a capacious light illuminates Charles with a swift snap of Vincent’s fingers. Vincent and Charles have made a might exchange! Vincent was dressed as a lumberjack and Charles was dressed as a creepy vampire! Charles stole all the eyes and attention in the room. He was the star of the night! All the kids were so impressed with his cool new costume. It looked very realistic. “And now, the moment you have all been waiting for! The Best Costume of the Night goes to….. Charles Lamont and his Vampire costume!” The whole school cheers! Charles never achieved such a status of popularity in school! Of course, he is ecstatic. Witnessing this success, Vincent felt the change in his heart. By the end of the party, Vincent stops by the school’s office to figure out where Charles house is.
