The blood moves throughout the body and heart at a much slower rate, and the heart’s pressure rises. The body needs oxygen and nutrients to stay alive but with this condition, the heart restricts these needs. The heart reacts naturally and hides the problems by expanding or by becoming extra stiff and thickened in order to hold more blood. The heart does this for only a short while but It cannot do that forever so within time, the walls of the heart soften and cannot pump strongly.
