Despite the various ranges of graduation rates among ethnic groups in the 2013-2014 school year, there has been a 4% increase in on-time graduations when compared to the years before. Healthy People 2020 found that Asian and non-Hispanic students had the highest on-time graduate rates in 2015. Although the Healthy People 2020 goal of 87% of public school students graduating high school in 4 years has yet to be met, this is definitely a push in the right direction. With the number of high school graduates improving, the health status of our community can improve aswell.
