A) INTRODUCTION According to the World Health Organisation (WHO)’s constitution 2017, health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. In order to be in a good health, we should practice healthy lifestyle where the definition of lifestyle is describes as complex behavioral strategies and routines, attitudes and values, norms assumed in order to individual or group to score as convenient in a social context. (Cozma, Gavriluta, Mitrea, Cojocaru, 2014). Therefore, healthy lifestyle is a way of living that lowers the risk of being seriously ill or dying early (WHO, 1999). Convenience and limited time to exercise and prepare meals or dislike of food preparation and cooking shape many people’s lifestyles today. Time seems to be an important factor in whether Malaysian adults are willing to cook and prepare healthy meals or choose pre-prepared foods, fast foods, and take-out, or eat snack foods instead of meals. Shortly, this problem is mainly arising because the time pressured citizens. This has the effect to the schedule of an individual to be busy which causes pressure and stress. Researchers suggest that two easy strategies may help people more effectively cope with stress. Slow breathing can help to refocus the mind and calm feelings of anxiety. When feelings of stress become unmanageable, researchers suggest, it may be better to express them in the form of intense emotions such as excitement (Etkins, Evangelidis, Aaker 2015). Eating late at night is often blamed for obesity, though it can also contribute to fluctuations in your sleep cycle and changes in the number of times you need to use the bathroom during the night. It is proven by Dr Toko Mansur (2017), a nutritionist at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital says: “Having late meals is risky because one is likely to gain weight and become obese at some point. This is because much of the food will not be used by the body but instead stored as fat.” According to Dr Mansur, if you feel hungry after 8pm, a healthy or modest-size snack may help you sleep. He advises that when you are hungry at night, eat healthy snacks, such as oatmeal with low-fat milk. Avoid large meals and spicy foods, which can cause discomfort and disrupt sleep. Caffeinated foods and beverages, such as chocolate, coffee and energy drinks can make it difficult to fall asleep and lead to daytime tiredness the following day. In order to curb the late night cravings, we should reduce eating outside of your home, especially in fast food restaurants. Research shows we will consume more calories when eating away from home.
