“There are two kinds of ecosystems aquatic and terrestrial” (Type of Ecosystems). Any other are sub-ecosystems that fall under these two names provided. “Terrestrial can be found in saturated places” (Types of Ecosystems). The forest ecosystem has plants and have an abundant of flora. “They have a big number of organisms which live in small places (types of ecosystems). So one little change can alter the whole balance of these ecosystems. In an ecosystem trophic level refers to “an individual’s organism’s position in a food chain (Concept of the ecosystem). The tropic levels are primary producer, primary consumer, secondary consumer, and tertiary consumer. A primary producers is the lowest level of a food chain, but in my opinion is also the most valuable source of energy. Our primary producers use sunlight and convert it to produce their own food source. A good example is our green plants, such as trees, and grass. Primary consumers depend on the primary producers for survival. These are plant eaters, also known as herbivores. A good example is a deer and a horse. We have our secondary consumers which depend on the primary consumer for continued existence. A good example are snakes and wolves. Tertiary consumers which are considered major predators of a food web. The secondary and tertiary consumers are our meat eaters, also known as carnivores. Lastly we have our decomposers and scavengers which break down dead plants and …show more content…
If one organism dies off in an ecosystem it can also kill off or affect other ecosystems.” Hartmut Jungius explored that human population and development affects the ecological balance of new species. natural hazards, or man-made causes that also kills of species in an ecosystem”(Ecological Balance). In my opinion, I feel like cutting down trees and building new land can destroy an ecosystem. For example, the stadiums built in the Fifa World Cup in 2014 were built in the rainforests of Brazil were these builders relocated, killed, or destroyed the homes of these species. I wouldn’t want to ever imagine anyone coming and taking over where I live because they wanted to do something to the land. According to Jungius, she said over 1000 years humans had a major impact on land due to deforestation and increase use of pastures to think further many animals are slowly being endangered or being extinct.
If sharks were to ever be killed off the source of carbon dioxide would risk the sea grass to die off according to FIU researchers. “As global efforts are underway to conserve the sea turtles shark populations are suffering from overfishing, which is creating an imbalance of these two animals in the world’s oceans”(Adking). In conclusion, when people overfish, oil dump, or other man-made pollutions occur it kills off not only the marine life but also other ecosystems and will pose a threat to human
