On average I have 7 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. In the three days that I recorded, the sources were apples, oranges, bananas, blueberries, dates, carrots, celery, cucumber, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, green pepper, zucchini, snap peas, potatoes.
My servings of milk products were 2 per day. I have a plain, natural yogurt as a snack most days. The other sources would be Provolone and Cheddar cheese. I will often have 1% cottage cheese for lunch, although not on the recorded days.
I consumed 4-5 servings of meat alternatives each day. It consisted of

I wake up and start my morning with lemon water around 8 a.m. I then have breakfast around 9 a.m. I will have fruit for a snack and coffee on its own at some point in the morning. I eat lunch around 1 pm. I will have some raw vegetables, yogurt and granola, fruit or nuts (usually a combination of these) as a snack mid-afternoon. I eat dinner typically around 6:30. I may have nacho chips or popcorn in the evening if I am hungry but often it is just tea and a sweet.
I occasionally skip breakfast if I am going to work out in the morning. I find eating prior to my workout makes me sluggish. I will always have my water and sometimes grab a fruit or a date/seed bar (homemade) on those days. But I may not have a complete meal. This happens twice a week. I am a grazer by nature and do not go long periods without eating. I find it uncomfortable to eat large meals (due to a hiatal hernia) and typically eat a lot of smaller meals during the day.
I would say that my weekend eating habits are the same as my weekday habits unless there is a special holiday or occasion I would eat very similarly to how I do during the

I chose to follow a Jewish diet for the day. I chose this diet because I have many friends that are Jewish and I wanted to understand more about their culture, especially their dietary restrictions. I had to follow several dietary rules that I had to follow for the day. The main rule for Jewish diets is that the food must be Kosher. Some examples of non-kosher foods are mammals without a completely cloven foot which means that Jews muse not eat any pig products or rabbits.…

They estimated that 20% of the HG’s calories came from fat, but scientists judged that level unachievable, and the real estimate is closer to 35% calories from fat. Konner and Eaton remain clear that HGs ate mostly non-grain and non-dairy carbohydrates, but they backed away from the protein levels in HG era vegetables, most likely because HG were shown to eat more protein then Konner and Eaton presented in the past (Konner and Eaton, 2010). Lastly, Konner and Eaton looked at the nutrient values they estimated HGs ate. For fiber, the average daily intake was 45.7 g when estimated in 1985, but now Konner and Eaton move the value closer to 70g with upwards of 150 g of fiber daily for HG diets (Eaton and Konner, 1985; Konner and Eaton, 2010). This recalculation was…

Like most people I'm sure my emotions and mood play a big part in what or how I decide to eat on a day to day basis. If I feel happy or I'm in a good mood I could probably eat all day long on top of eating probably anything yummy that catches my eye at that moment. Otherwise when I become stressed, tired, or I am feeling blue I tend to eat next to nothing and this can go on for days unfortunately.…

A balanced diet that contains all the necessary nutrients will provide energy to individuals, as well as aid the regulation of body processes which is also known as homeostasis as described by Iggulden, MacDonald and Staniland (2009). As identified by Webb (2012) scientific research has allowed healthcare professionals to ensure individuals receive the correct ratio of macronutrients and micronutrients in their diets. Webb (2012) states that macronutrients include “carbohydrates, fats and protein” and are needed in higher quantities in comparison to micronutrients which include vitamins and minerals. The Eatwell guide provides individuals with further guidance regarding the types and quantities of food that is recommended by professionals, in order to maintain a healthy and balanced diet. It is endorsed by the British Heart Foundation (2016) and it states at least five portions of fruit and vegetables should be eaten per day, to make up just over a third of your food intake per day.…
