For this assignment I choose Tutera senior living and health care. Tutera organization offers a variety of comprehensive health services including post-surgery rehabilitation, memory care, hospice and home health. Tutera continue to provide high standard of care to their patients and treat everyone with respect. This organization does accept all kinds of patients. They have a better therapy department, and they provide best nursing care. They value their employees, they provide free uniform, and also offer free lunch and $50 bonus for any employee who sign for extra shift. They have programs which encourages employees to go back to school and tuition reimbursement for the employee who want to go back to school, also they have good benefits. The organization has been in the business for more than 30 years, and they owns more ten facilities around United State America. I can’t speak for other facility, but based on the one facility that I have experienced, I can say that they try to stick to their mission, philosophy and core values. The organization most of the time they make sure that they have enough staff on the floor to deliver the best care to the patients. Central supply is opened twenty fours to ensure that staff have access to supplies needed to deliver best care to the patients. Sometime they have staff shortage, but that is not a problem, management will do everything they can to provide help, if is necessary they will use agency just to make sure that patients are getting the care they …show more content…
According to the administrator, Tutera organization just bought a new facility on the east side of Wichita, it used to be called Desire, and they will change the name to Woodlawn Nursing and rehabilitation Center. Also, they have a plan to buy another facility called Lakewood on the west side of Wichita. The Director of nursing told me that, they are on the process to increase pay to nursing staff, and waiting for corporate approval. They also stated that the organization has new benefits for their employees starting next month for part time and full time employees. The employees will be able to participate in 401K plan with company matching up to 100%, paid time off (PTO) and vacation time of up to four weeks. This will reduce turnover rate of nursing staff.
