Healthcare Mission Statement

The company I picked from the missionstatements website is the Interim Healthcare

Inc. According to the company's website, http://www.missionstatements.com. it was founded in

1966 and it's the nation's oldest health care franchise company, is headquartered in

Florida. The company mission statement stated as follows: our primary mission is "to

improve people's lives" and that is what we do everyday.

I shoose this company because I'm in the health care field and also how short and

specific is thier mission statement. The company provides all sort of medical care. Like

nursing, therapy and non medical home care, hospice and Healthcare staffing services.

So with all listed services above, I absolutely agree with the company's mission

statement, because all those

The company put a lot of emphasis on values and mission which include integrity,

compassion, customer focus, innovation and financial responsibility. The part of their

values and mission also said and I'm quoting " our values and mission are evident in the

fact that we employ some of the finest people in the health care industry. And we never

lose sight of the fact that these men and women will always be our most important

asset." This quote can be found in the last paragraph at the bottom of the page when

you click on about us on the company's website. I do not agree with this statement due

to what I discovered in the process of my

research about the company. According

to http://www.newyork.cbslocal.com. news which was

published in October 18th 2015 at 8:39pm, Interim Healthcare posted an ad for female

nursing position and the ad explicitly stated " "No Haitians" would be considered for

employment " the ad was placed in a local pennysaver according to the news website.

So this kind of practice doesn't not mirror some of thier claimed mission statement

The principles I will examine are: 1) decide what makes you different; 2) manage employees; and 3) set goals. The reason why I selected these three business principles is that they appear to me to be a good place to start the groundwork for any business model, including the field of health care.…
