As a healthcare leader I have learned to appreciate the peaceful, yet nerve-racking moments of making the right decision for others. As Teri Fontenot, president and CEO of Baton Rouge, La.-based Woman's Hospital says, “The essence of leadership is having the ability to alter what people think is possible, convince them that effort would be worth it and show them how it was their idea all along”( Gamble, 2015). In my days of college, I can only imagine the difficultness as a healthcare leader; nevertheless, on November 14, 2016 I participated as chairman in the No More Campaign service- learning project by creating the vision, while overseeing and assisting the planning, marketing, budgeting, and coordinating committees, which are some of many
