Healthcare is evolving very quick as a leader you have to find ways to adapt to the changes we face. Change leaders face is a quality of care. Patients want to know that they are going have quality care from the facility/provider they choose to see. The facility is becoming more customer-driven. Leaders need to ensure that patients are receiving quality care. One important factor is patient safety. As a leader, they face challenges ensuring their facilities are providing the best care for their patients.
2. What are the major differences between transactional and transformational forms of leadership? Are these differences reconcilable?
Transactional Leadership is where the leader implements an incentive program to motivate their employees to better at their position. There focus is more on the day-to-day operations of the company. Whereas Transformational Leadership focuses on ways to implement team building exercise to motivate their employees to have better job performance. This type of leadership focuses on the bigger picture for their employees and looks ahead. I'm going say that both transactional and transformational are not reconcilable due to having two different leadership styles.
