Healthcare informatician’s have skills in logical and analytical thinking, have technical background to understand the computing environment, and must be able to transform data into information and then information into knowledge. Many healthcare Informaticians have different backgrounds, experience and education than one another. Healthcare informaticians can work in many different settings from the tradition medical standpoint, to computational biology, to teaching, to clinical research settings.
