By regulating the way food is grown we can preserve the earth and with food being grown with fewer GMOs there is a way to reduce and restrict how much harmful chemicals go into the food. Many people are agreeing to this fact and they say that food items containing the GMOs should be tagged and that the people should know what is inside of their produce that they are consuming. The government as of now just has the FDA regulations on food and are letting them take care of these issues but these are bigger than just normal food regulations. The FDA oversees protecting the environment and humans by regulating the amount of pesticides that can be used on these genetically modified organisms which are only controlled to a minimum (Genetically Modified Foods). As of now the FDA tests certain GMO grown food and views if it is safe for animals and humans to consume that food made with certain GMO’s. This does not completely check out all the nutritional value or the health effects that it could pose to the consumer but it regulates weather it is safe for them to consume. Governments could change the regulations held by their local governments and only allow certain amounts of pesticides used by creating more strict regulations and certain health issues would subside or no longer be as big of an issue as they pose …show more content…
The government could be a big change in the GMO issues and the separation of some companies losing money opportunities due to the constant fight of the uncertainty of the effects of the GMOs. The people fighting the fact that GMOs are not safe are costing the government money and creating a problem that can easily be regulated solely by changing some of the policies that control the GMO growth. As of now the GMOS have been proven to have inconclusive test results that vary depending on the subject matter of the GMO. The GMOs are resulting in many health issues thus the government should be concerned in having certain restrictions in helping them not lose money while taking care of the people and their
