The field of health informatics strives to strengthen the relationship between healthcare and information technology software in an effort to improve patient health outcomes (BCS, 2012). Its existence does not solely rely on the formation EHR but on the composition of various health management systems that transfer, collect and store patient information with healthcare providers (BCS, 2012).
